Oak Lawn, Ill. – Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, Advocate Christ Medical Center has been named among the finest in the region and the nation.
According to U.S. News & World Report’s ‘2017-2018 Best Hospitals’ list, Advocate Christ has been rated as the fourth best hospital overall in the state of Illinois as well as in the Chicago metro area.
Advocate Christ is also recognized among the top 50 hospitals in the nation in two specialties - Cardiology & Heart Surgery and Diabetes & Endocrinology. This is the sixth consecutive year Advocate Christ has earned a top-50 national ranking in heart care and the first time for Diabetes & Endocrinology.
Additionally, the report cites Advocate Christ physicians and staff as being “high performers” in six other specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and Urology.

All six sites were named among the top 20 in the Chicago metro area.
The U.S. News & World Report ‘Best Hospitals’ rankings, now in its 28th year, evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide and are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care. The methodologies include readmission rates, patient experience and safety, quality of nursing care and other care-related indicators.
