Learn about the program’s application requirements.
The critical care medicine fellowship program accepts three qualified applicants each year. Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program in either internal medicine or emergency medicine prior to matriculation. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The program does not currently sponsor J-1, H-1, or other visa holders.
Application requirements
Applicants must also submit the following items to be considered for an interview:
- A complete ERAS common application form
- A curriculum vitae
- A copy of your medical school transcript
- Transcripts and passing scores from relevant examinations (USMLE or COMLEX; no minimum score required)
- A copy of a completion certificate from each prior residency and fellowship training program, as applicable
- A personal statement describing your training goals, professional plans, and interest in critical care medicine
- Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the applicant’s current or most recent training program director
- A valid ECFMG certification if you graduated from a medical school outside of the U.S. or Canada
Applications are accepted through ERAS only. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please do not submit any application material through e-mail or other means.
