Chicago, Ill. – Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center has been ranked as a high performer in heart failure treatment by U.S. News & World Report, which recently issued a new rating system for evaluating the Best Hospitals for Common Care in the United States. As the most significant extension of U.S. News Best Hospitals platform to date, more than 4,500 hospitals in the country are evaluated on their performance of common procedures and medical conditions.
This achievement follows U.S. News & World Report July 2014 Best Hospitals release, in which Advocate Illinois Masonic was ranked 9th in the Chicago metropolitan region and in Illinois, ranked 40th nationally for Gynecology and evaluated as high performing in 10 specialties.
“Congratulations to our Cardiovascular Services and Gynecology teams on this impressive achievement, and to all our physicians and associates for their contributions in making Advocate Illinois Masonic one of the best hospitals in the country,” said Susan Nordstrom Lopez, Advocate Illinois Masonic president.
Patients can look up any U.S. hospital to see how it rates in common operations and widespread chronic conditions. A hospital may be rated as “High Performing,” “Average,” or “Below Average.”
