DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Ten Advocate Health Care hospitals have been named to the U.S. News & World Report ‘Best Hospitals’ list, including Advocate Children’s Hospital, which was recognized as a top pediatric hospital earlier this year.

“We’re proud of our physicians, nurses and teammates for their continued commitment to providing patients with the safest and best care possible,” said Bill Santulli, president of Advocate Health – Midwest, which includes Advocate Health Care in Illinois.

The U.S. News & World Report list recognizes both regional and national achievement. Seven adult hospitals ranked among the top 25 in Illinois: Advocate Christ Medical Center, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Advocate South Suburban and Advocate Trinity Hospital.

In addition to seven nationally ranked adult specialties, Advocate Health Care hospitals—including Advocate Condell Medical Center and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center—earned a total of 98 high-performing ratings across a range of conditions like congestive heart failure and stroke.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 5,000 hospitals nationwide. The methodology is based on measures of quality such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other care-related indicators.
