PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency
Mission statement:
The mission of our Emergency Medicine PGY2 Pharmacy Residency is to cultivate highly skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate clinical pharmacists who excel in the fast-paced and high-acuity environment. Through rigorous training, advanced research, and comprehensive education, we aim to empower our residents to become leaders in the field, capable of providing exceptional patient care and advancing the practice of pharmacy in any emergency department setting.
Our program is dedicated to:
- High Acuity Care: Providing immersive experiences in diverse emergency settings to develop proficiency in managing critical and complex patient cases with confidence and precision.
- Research Excellence: Fostering a robust research environment where residents engage in innovative projects that contribute to the advancement of emergency medicine pharmacotherapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Educational Advancement: Equipping residents with the skills to educate and mentor future healthcare professionals, and promoting lifelong learning and professional development.
Our ultimate goal is to produce well-rounded, adaptable pharmacists who are prepared to meet the dynamic challenges of emergency medicine and who will continuously strive to enhance patient care and safety in any emergency department.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States (no Visas are accepted)
- PharmD Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Eligible for Illinois licensure
