Student electives
Fourth year medical student electives are available in:
Please see Contact Information to arrange elective rotations.
Current CV and USMLE and/or COMLEX scores are required as part of the application for 4th year elective rotations. The Program Oversight Committee reviews applications approximately 4 months prior to the elective month requested, and may take 1-2 weeks for approval after documentation is received. A strong interest in obstetrics and gynecology and in interest in serving a diverse ethnic and socioeconomic population are considered. Preference is given to applicants with a USMLE Step 1 score of 215 (24th%) or higher or COMLEX Step 1 score of 460 (25th%) or above. Board scores do not guarantee an elective rotation, and an elective rotation will not guarantee an interview for residency. Once the rotation is approved, scheduling may be done through the residency program coordinator. We thank you for your interest in our residency program, and we look forward to working with you at Advocate Illinois Masonic’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
