Application Process

Please note that our program is unable to review applications from H1/H1b visa candidates.

Applications for the 2023-2024 fellowship training program will be accepted exclusively via ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) beginning July 15, through September 15, 2022. Complete applications with all relevant documentation must be posted to ERAS by the deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed for candidacy.

Required elements of the ERAS file should include:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcripts
  • USMLE, COMLEX or equivalent examination results with dates
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation (including your most recent Residency Program Director) and a minimum of two (2) additional letters from faculty members directly familiar with your recent experience.

Application review and interviews

The Program Director and fellowship faculty members will review and identify potential interview candidates utilizing the guidelines of the ACGME, Residency Review Committee and the ALGH Department of Internal Medicine. Candidates will be invited to interview based upon the quality of application materials and academic credentials. Applicants will be interviewed by the Program Director, faculty members and will have the opportunity to interact with current fellows.
