All services are provided by a staff of experienced, registered radiographers and board certified radiologists. Sophisticated equipment, such as our 16-slice CT scanner and cutting edge breast biopsy system, enable physicians to make the most accurate diagnoses possible. Our new state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging Center, makes the testing experience more comfortable for our patients, offers more privacy, and allows for faster scheduling and test results.

Advanced technology

Diagnostic imaging equipment at Trinity Hospital features some of the latest technology available, including:

  • 16-slice CT scanner: A complex scanner that provides 16 different images or views of any area of the body. Its many uses include cardiac angiography and bone mineral
  • Mammotome® Breast Biopsy System: A cutting edge, hand-held biopsy device used in conjunction with ultrasound. The Mammotome requires a single, tiny incision, obtains better samples during biopsy, and enables more accurate results and earlier diagnosis of breast cancer.
  • 3-D ultrasound: Advanced equipment that provides extremely clear three-dimensional pictures of the inside of any area the body.
  • Digital radiography: X-ray equipment that captures images like a digital camera. Digital radiography uses less radiation, is extremely fast and provides clearer images for improved accuracy. It also has the capability of adjusting image contrast for better views without subjecting a patient to more radiation.
  • Digital fluoroscopy: An advanced machine used for upper and lower GIs, gall bladder and duct examination.
  • Mammography: Uses the lowest amount of radiation possible to produce an accurate pictures of the breasts.
  • Nuclear Medicine Camera: A high resolution camera that provides three-dimensional images of the body and internal organs.
