Personal perspectives on teaching:
Good treatment follows from good assessment. From the perspective of their extensive
medical training, Residents in psychiatry find good ways to help their patients. Better still
when they consider solutions to their patients’ difficulties from the perspective of the
person, with his or her unique motivations. Both biological and psychological interventions
work better when integrated.
